Welcome to the OSHER Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Oklahoma!
New course offerings for Spring 2008
Over the course of the fall, we offered many different courses. From The Symphony to The City of St. Petersburg and everything in between, we have offered more courses than ever. And the best news is that more participants took our courses than any other semester in our history.
In the spring of 2008 we hope to achieve the same success. We have several professors who are returning to OLLI to teach again, and some new faculty members as well.
We hope you like the offerings for spring 2008.
Mornings with the Professor is an informal lecture series held on Tuesday mornings throughout the fall and spring semesters with some of the University of Oklahoma's most interesting faculty.
The OU Book Club has long been one of OLLI’s most outstanding programs. Led by Dr. Rufus Fears, the discussion group focuses on a different classic work of literature each month.
These seminars are designed to offer seniors an avenue for continued learning of a specific topic led by faculty of the University. Topics for the noncredit courses will change each semester.
These special camps were established to bring grandparents and their grandchildren together in an unusual setting to learn about topics such as Native American culture, aviation, and money management.
Elderlearn is a one-day program that offers learners three lectures with different OU faculty members on a designated topic. Join us for this very popular program.
The Scenic Tours provides seniors an opportunity to learn the history about the Tahlimena Drive, Route 66 and more, right here in Oklahoma, and view their beauty.
